This inaugural production of Theatre in the Wood has thus far traveled to two locations fascinating audiences with a musical theatre performance immersed in an creative culinary experience.

​Conceived & Directed by Katie Schmidt Feder, the show is a "tasting menu" of noteworthy songs by Broadway composers including Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Frank Loesser, Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick & Sara Bareilles. Unlike traditional dinner theatre where the meal is served before the show, this production fully integrates a carefully curated meal INTO the show and the performers are your servers!

A MOVABLE FEAST is the inaugural production of Theatre in the Wood, a newly-formed small professional theatrical company with the mission to combine musical theatre with a heightened culinary experience. All performers and staff are paid.
For far less than you would spend for dinner and a show in the City, and with far less travel and parking concerns, enjoy a night out with emerging and veteran professional performers, excellent food, and interactive fun as the performers serve your meal as part of the show! You will not be asked to sing or dragged on stage (although there is one opportunity to get up and dance a little if you so desire.)
